Help in remote areas
The Philippines consists of more than 7,600 islands. Most of them are located in the typhoon belt in the Pacific Ocean and are regularly confronted with severe typhoons. These destroy fields, harvests, living quarters, and even entire villages. A large portion of the population lives in poverty. The bad living conditions are characterized by practically inaccessible educational facilities, undernourishment, the immense population growth, and a lack of state infrastructure. Innumerable people move from the countryside to the cities looking for a better life. However, a majority of them do not find work and end up in the metropolitan slums.
Our project regions are among the poorest provinces. Some highly marginalized populations live from hand to mouth in very remote areas. What about health care? Before our volunteer doctors offered regular consultations, many people had never seen a physician.

Our medical projects
Our volunteer doctors drive to remote regions on the islands Luzon and Mindoro with the rolling clinic. They are accompanied by local health workers who guarantee the prospective medical care on site.
Luzon
Medical consultations with the rolling clinic, health education, and training of health workers comprise our goals for the indigenous populations in remote regions on Luzon. The closest physician can often only be reached after walking for hours.
Mindoro
We provide basic medical care for the Mangyanen with our rolling clinic. These people live secluded in hardly accessible mountainous regions neglected by the Philippine healthcare system.
