Hilfe, die bleibt
In 1983, German Doctors was founded (at that time still called ‘Doctors for the third world`). Doctors from Switzerland have been involved in the joint projects almost from the beginning and have collected donations for our patients after their missions in their communities. In 2018, they joined forces in Switzerland as `Swiss Doctors`.
The two associations work closely together to ensure the financing of the joint projects and to further develop the work on the ground. The administration is largely carried out by German Doctors e.V., who plan, prepare and monitor all assignments in the medical projects. To improve this partnership-based cooperation, the umbrella organisation called ‘Hilfe, die bleibt e.V.’ was founded in 2020. With clear structures we want to coordinate our work even better and, last but not least raise awareness, as the tasks we face as German Doctors and Swiss Doctors are not getting smaller. Any additional support from the network is work towards our common goal: Aid, that lasts.
The Board of ‘Hilfe, die bleibt e.V.’
Representatives of German Doctors and Swiss Doctors are members of ‘Hilfe, die bleibt e.V.’. The Board consists of one board member from each organisation. The Board coordinates the project activities and the associations' public relations and fundraising activities to use synergies and achieve the common goals even more effectively.
