Hot meals
With 13 francs per person, we can provide hot meals for vulnerable people in our Kenyan projects. In this way, we can prevent malnutrition and undernourishment and the associated secondary diseases.

Your regular donation helps where health is unaffordable
With a regular donation to Swiss Doctors, you improve the living conditions of people in need in countries of the Global South and give them the chance of a healthy and self-determined life. With every franc you help us to provide medical care to people in our project regions and strengthen local healthcare structures.
The goal of each of our projects is to ensure that external aid becomes unnecessary in the long run and that the project can ultimately be handed over into local hands. Training and educating local healthcare staff are therefore an integral part of our projects.
Questions and answers to your regular donation
What is a regular donation?
A recurring donation is a regular donation. Most regular donors give a fixed amount every month. However, as a regular donor you can also donate quarterly, half-yearly or annually. The regular donation is initially for an indefinite period, but can be cancelled at any time. As a rule, a regular donor issues a direct debit authorisation to the respective organisation that benefits from the donations.
Why does a regular donation make sense?
A regular donation is a particularly efficient and sustainable form of donation: it gives us more security as an organisation and helps us to plan our projects more reliably. Thanks to the lower administrative costs the maximum amount reaches where it is urgently needed. With this form of long-term support, you help sustainably and give underprivileged people the chance of a better, self-determined life.
Of course, every donation is valuable for us and our work.
What will my regular donations to Swiss Doctors be used for?
Your regular donation is channelled into one of our projects that currently needs help the most and supports people there who are medically in need. With your aid, we can finance urgently needed medicines, vaccinations or nutrition programmes and thus effectively help needy children and their parents. As our projects always have a long-term focus and the aim is to hand over the project into local hands at some point, the training of local medical professionals is also part of our ongoing work.
Is there a minimum amount for a regular donation?
A regular donation is possible from CHF 15 per month.
How much should I donate each month?
Basically, you alone decide how much you donate every month. If you are looking for a sensible guideline, you can use a simple rule of thumb as guidance: Donate approximately 1 per cent of your net monthly salary every month. For a net salary of CHF 5,000, this would be CHF 50.
This is what regular donations achieve:
With a regular donation of 20 francs per month, you can finance all the immunisations recommended by WHO guidelines for four children - and thus provide protection against polio, tuberculosis, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough and hepatitis B.
A donation of 30 franks every month for a year will enable the one-year training of a health worker who can be there for the local people permanently after the training - and thus make a lasting difference.

You can make regular donations by credit card or PostFiance.
Can I cancel my regular donation?
Yes, you can cancel your regular donation at any time and without prior notice. Also, you always have the option of adjusting the amount of your regular donation individually. Will I receive a donation receipt as a regular donor?
Yes, you will receive the donation receipt for all donations made per calendar year at the beginning of the year following your donation. Please contact us if you need your donation receipt earlier.
Are my donations to Swiss Doctors tax-deductible?
Yes, every donation to a charitable organisation is tax-deductible. We will automatically issue your donation receipt at the beginning of the following year. Enter the donations in the section for special expenses of your tax declaration to claim your permanent donation for tax purposes.
