The Swiss Doctors help in various countries of the global South and work there on a voluntary basis to improve the health of people in need. The aim of the missions is to help people quickly and effectively, but also to create long-term structures.
With your donation we finance, among other things:
- urgently needed medication
- nutrition programmes for malnourished children
- training of local medical professionals
When you make your Christmas donation, you decide whether you would like to donate to a specific project or leave the choice to us. Your donation will then be used where help is most urgently needed.
How much should a Christmas donation be?
Many companies and private individuals donate the amount that they would otherwise have spent on a traditional gift. Of course, your donation can also be higher or lower. You decide for yourself how much you would like to donate to support Swiss Doctors and people in need. A donation of just CHF 100 will enable us to help two women safely through their pregnancy. With 200 francs, for example, you can enable 65 sick people to visit a doctor in Mindoro on the Philippines.
