The fight against tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (abbreviated TB) is one of the most widespread bacterial infectious in the world. Although tuberculosis is curable in most cases, those affected often lack access to medical facilities or simply have no money to pay for visits to the doctor and expensive medication. If those affected suffer from one of the increasing multidrug-resistant variants of the disease, this makes the cure even more difficult, if not fatal.
