Global child mortality has been falling steadily for several years. But although even the poorest countries are making progress and more and more children are surviving, there are still too many deaths from preventable and treatable causes. Child mortality is particularly high in sub-Saharan Africa and in Central and South Asia. That`s why Swiss Doctors is committed to reducing child mortality and giving more children a chance to live.
